Seminar to Examine Business Networking Skills at E3 EXPO, April 2017
North West companies are now being invited to register to attend a free seminar that will explore the benefits of improving their business networking skills. The session will be delivered as part of the E3 Business Expo – a one-day business-to-business trade exhibition that will take place on 5th April at the Macron Stadium in Bolton. The seminar will run from 12.15pm-12.45pm.
Hosted and organised by 1 Events Media , the Expo will run from 10:30am to 4:30pm and will feature a series of six expert presentations, together with speed networking opportunities and an exhibition hall with around 70 stands. Entry is free.
As part of the day-long seminar programme, Will Kintish, CEO of Kintish Networking Skills will examine the dynamics of ‘working the room’ and consider how to overcome personal insecurities about networking and social interaction.
Describing the theme of the seminar, Will said: “With the ubiquitous use of social media, social networking and mobile devices, the quaint and traditional face-to-face relationship is fast losing the communications race. However, when properly handled, the old fashioned way can still be the best for building rapport.”
Discussing the networking skills session, 1EM’s managing director, Mubarak Chati said: “People are expected to be good at the technical aspects of their jobs, but not everyone is a confident and effective networker. That can be a disadvantage because good networkers invariably create more opportunities than other people and they can often enjoy better career prospects, too.
“We’re therefore very pleased that Will has agreed to deliver this seminar. Through tips and demonstrations, he’ll demonstrate how people can overcome any natural feelings of ‘reserve’ and show how networking can then be approached with both confidence and enthusiasm.”
Other seminars taking place at the Expo will address topics including marketing, ICT solutions, social media and public sector funding.
The Expo will also feature a special IT Zone, where visitors can meet a range of specialist exhibitors in what will effectively be a one-stop-shop for IT solutions.
Visitor registrations are open and businesses can register here.
