Workplace Health Expert to Deliver Stress & Wellbeing Seminar at E3 Business Expo
On 3rd March 2016, Preston-based EJT Associates will deliver a free seminar for North West businesses, examining effective ways of promoting greater wellbeing in the workplace. Presented by experienced occupational therapist Emerald Jane Turner, the half hour seminar will be held at the Macron Stadium in Bolton as part of the E3 Business Expo.
The seminar is entitled ‘Creating Resilience, Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace’ and it will run from 14:15 to 14:45.
Aimed at busy managers and small business owners, it will consider the health implications of factors such as stress, lifestyle and physical inactivity, and it will show how managing them effectively can benefit individuals and companies alike. It will examine the importance of maintaining good health awareness and it will explain how people can develop their own emotional and physical resilience.
Throughout the day, EJT representatives will be available on stand G1 to offer free health advice, and qualified staff will also be running the Expo’s Health & Wellbeing Zone. Here, visitors will be able to take advantage of free on-the-spot health checks, a complimentary massage and a range of other relaxation therapies and techniques.
“Everyone recognises that business can sometimes be very stressful,” said Mubarak Chati, managing director of 1 Events Media, which hosts and organises the Expo. “We wanted to include a health zone as part of the E3 Business Expo because it’s a side of business life that is all too easily overlooked. Work takes up such a large part of people’s lives and yet we so often go about our routines without really examining the long term health implications. The health zone and EJT ‘s seminar will encourage a bit more serious thinking about health, fitness and motivation – and all the many benefits that follow from that.”
The E3 Business Expo is a one-day business to business event for companies throughout the North West. It will feature 90 exhibition stands, a busy seminar programme and free advice from private companies as well as organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK Trade & Investment, Companies House and the Intellectual Property Office.
Looking ahead to the event, EJT director Russell Francis said: “The seminar is based on a case study showing how a business developed a successful strategy for promoting resilience in the workplace. It looks at how the plan was devised and implemented, the benefits it delivered and how it is helping to shape the future direction of the company.”
Other seminars taking place at the Expo will address issues including marketing, security and new business communications technologies. The full seminar schedule can be found here.
