Meet the 2016 Judges
The judging panel for the 2016 E3 Business Awards has now been named. The organiser, 1 Events Media has selected seventeen judges from the fields of business, social enterprise, education and business support. The judges will apply their collective experience to assessing award nominations from companies and entrepreneurs across the North West.
The judging process will entail an examination of written submissions followed by interviews with all shortlisted nominees. These will take place between 18th and 21st April.
There are 17 award categories this year and the winners will be announced at the E3 Awards evening, which will take place on Friday 3rd June at the Macron Stadium in Bolton.
The E3 Awards are intended to be as inclusive as possible. In addition to mainstream businesses, the organisers are keen to encourage nominations from women, young entrepreneurs, social enterprises, people from minority ethnic backgrounds and those coping with disability. Reflecting this emphasis on diversity, the judging panel has been selected for its broad experience of different sectors, communities and scales of enterprise.

“The panel includes a number of winners from previous E3 Awards,” notes 1EM managing director, Mubarak Chati. “As a result, they understand the application process and the sort of qualities that the awards themselves are designed to celebrate.
“Other panel members bring experience of business support, economic regeneration and the social impacts of successful enterprise. The E3 Awards are intended to recognise achievements in the fields of enterprise, education and employment – the three Es in the name, and three important factors that fuel the expansion of the North West economy. I’m delighted to have been able to put together such a distinguished panel and I’d like to thank all the judges for so kindly volunteering their time.”
